Joshua Lopatin (b. 1975) was raised in South Bend, IN and currently resides in Oak Lawn, IL. He currently works as an IT specialist, although his passions have always leaned towards the creative. Josh spent years working in the music industry as a recording engineer and producer. He began taking photographs in high school with his grandfather's camera, but didn’t develop a serious interest and technique until 2005. Now he’s rarely seen without a camera in tow.
"Through the viewfinder, I’m forced to appreciate life from different angles and viewpoints that I might normally ignore. I don't have a subject preference—anything can grab my attention. Sometimes, I like to get in close and marvel the details I would normally miss; other times I prefer to capture a ‘bigger’ picture."
